I'm Marcelo Matere, a highly skilled 2D Artist with an unending passion for bringing imaginative worlds to life. With over 20 years of experience in the consumer goods industry, my artistic talents span both traditional and digital illustration techniques. I specialize in creating captivating artwork for children's books, comic books, and concept art for toys and games.
My artistic journey began with a solid foundation, having earned degrees from Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado - FAAP and Escola Panamericana de Arte, both located in Sao Paulo, Brazil. These institutions provided me with the knowledge and expertise to flourish in the world of art.
One of my greatest joys is crafting colossal robots for various mediums, including toy lines, video games, t-shirts, and movies. My impressive client list includes industry giants such as Hasbro, Marvel, IDW Publishing, Wizards of the Coast, Cartoon Network, Disney Animation, Dreamworks, and many more.
I've been a prominent illustrator in the Transformers comic scene, contributing to the American market since 2004. My work on Transformers comics has been celebrated by fans and collectors alike.
In 2022, I embarked on an exciting project for IDW Publishing, contributing to "Transformers Shattered Glass: Ultra Magnus," showcasing my remarkable talent and dedication to the craft.
Currently, I am on board as a package artist for Hasbro's Transformers Studio Series 86 characters, inspired by the iconic 1986 Transformers Animated Cartoon, and continue to create stunning artwork for beloved franchises.
